Long day's journey into night

I had a LONG day.
School 930-640 with an in-class essay midterm squeezed in there.
Work from 730 to 930 for Angelica because, somehow, it's possible to get the flu twice within three weeks.
Miss Jim and Pam's wedding.  Come home.  Eat dinner.  Watch It's Always Sunny.  Pass out mentally, but stay awake physically because if I go to bed, that means it'll be straight to work again; and I hate that.

So I've been looking at American Apparel online for some possible Lady Gaga costume help (told you I was going to steal it, Jeff).  How does this look?  With some white or black tights and a black jacket?  And the wig/accessories, of course.

I don't even know why I'm looking for a costume.  I don't have any plans, and I certainly can't wear this to work.  It's fun, though, regardless.

Annie, Janine and I would like to do something special tomorrow night as we haven't all hung out on a Friday night in FOREVER, but we have no special ideas.  We would like to dress up and possibly involve downtown, but, besides killing cats, nothing exciting is coming to mind.  Suggestions, anyone?

Okay.  I start lifting boxes at 6 am and it's 1 am and I need to get some sleep beforehand so goodbye, goodbye, goodnight.

You shouldn't worry about not having a reason to dress up, something always comes up. I doubt it will be too hard to find something to do on Halloween.

Also, I second Joe's question, what happened to Annie Hall?

Lady Gaga is so much fun. It's a costume of a costume, a costume that is self-conscious of the fact that it is make-believe; it's a metacostume, if you will.
I think I've been reading too many scholarly articles on Hamlet...

But! I'm still deciding between the two. I'm going with whatever one will be more fun/easy/cheap.

And Mark, sadly, things don't always come up for me. Most of my friends will be in Vegas and as I'll be 16 days away from 21 at that point, I cannot go. Soooo frustrating.

exactly! I like to think of Lady Gaga like the Stephen Colbert of the music industry. Everything she does is basically a parody of the truly ridiculous things pop stars do for attention.

but the sad part is, it isn't a parody...
