I usually love the cold, but this heat spell at is making me feel good. I mean, not really "feel good" as I'm sick at the moment, but "feel good" emotionally. I'm really excited for spring and summer. Less commitment, more relaxation and spending time with myself.
I've started slacking off a lot more when it comes to school. I just can't force myself to read stupid things. And I've classified quite a few of my assigned readings as "stupid." Plus my eyes hurt when I read and I'm using that as an excuse.
My dad won't stop talking about how my brother didn't make Varsity Lacrosse this year. It's been about an hour and a half about how upset he (my father) is. I just keep my mouth shut instead of mentioning that he didn't even know if I was on JV or Varsity swim sophomore year of high school.
I want to tan. Just lay out in the sun and sleep.
I want a pretty, long, bold-printed, summer dress. A nice, casual one with a low back, perfect for beach weather.
I've written 47 poems. That's enough to fill a book. They're not all good, but they're something and that counts to me. Plus I just wrote two really nice ones this past week; I feel like I have things to say (reminds me of the Bukowski poem "for they had things to say"...check it out).
I hate Kate from John and Kate Plus Eight. I want to fly to Pennsylvania and slap her in her face. That husband puts up with so much of her shit. They would SO be divorced if they didn't try for another kid after those twins.
Last night when I was trying to sleep, I kept waking up because I my right arm was hurting. I was obviously tired, so I automatically thought I was having a heart attack. But them I realized that it was the LEFT arm that hurts when undergoing cardiac arrest, so I went back to bed. However, I kept waking up in the same pain. Strange.
Here are some upcoming events to break up the next few months: Lent starts, Olin returns for spring break (still unsure if this is good or bad...), my OWN spring break, Melissa/Michelle/Susan coming home for that week, Easter, Coachella, Katy's birthday. Soon after that, the semester's OVER. Hell yeah.
We should do something again. But actually PLAN to do something beforehand so we don't have to have an awkward group vote on whether we should go out or stay in, because really? Those never work. So here, let's brainstorm activities for an awesome, adventurous night. Aaaaaaand go:
AND we should seriously go camping. The excitement I expressed on Friday toward Hazz's idea was genuine. Live like you mean it, right? Get out, have fun, spend a little money, enjoy yourself.

Hear hear!
How about planning a day/night trip to the Salton Sea/Salvation Mountain?
I think I've mentioned camping trip every weekend for the last year...maybe longer.

Even if you don't think they're all good 47 poems is a lot. I wish I had that much to say. As for planning something... there's so much to do, where do we start? I guess the first question is do we want to spend money or not, and if so how much? I would really like to go eat somewhere nice, cause we rarely do that. For activities: Belmont Park, bowling, Boomers (miniature golfing and games). Cheaper alternatives: ice blocking, mt helix, beach, bon fire. Those are my suggestions but I am open to others.

Also, I really admire the fact that you write. Even if your sure what your writing isn't "good", the fact that you're able to finish it and call it done, is more that is more than I could ever hope to do...and 47 times?!?!?1

CAMPING TRIP needs to get in the works. Period. We can discuss details next time we meet.
AND as for a nearer activity...nice dining is always very fun. I love doing a classy meal, makes me feel like I'm a judge on Top Chef or something. Bowling would be fun, or a bon fire? I've never gone ice blocking either, but like the idea. AH! So much fun :) Anyone free this weekend? OH! And thanks for all the encouragement on my writing :) I appreciate any support.

I like Hazz's idea that he had on friday of cooking a dinner at his or anyone else's house, even if it didn't seem quite popular at the moment. Pad Thai pt. 2?!
Also, if we want to do a less intense camping trip, we should all meet at gina's house then walk to mission trails..pans and caps included.

Pans and caps? are we gonna sift for gold? That sounds like fun (the mission trails walk), even if there's no gold to be found.

Like Davy Crockett hats, and pans for cooking. But we could sift for "gold" also, because I think that could be great. We would have to wear suspenders and brown pants though.

Or we could all pull a Johnny Appleseed (Cast) and wear our pans as hats.

Some of the conversations that actually arise from these posts are pretty funny to me. BUT I'm all for MT camping, especially because if I forget anything at home, I can walk 15 min back to retrieve it. AND I second a nice home-cooked meal. We could all dress up and read poetry in seductive voices like Peanut Butter Pad Thai night...
