I wanted to compliment all the cool concert pictures except I'll do it in a nerdy way. Some guy took 30 something thousand pictures from the northern and southern hemesphere over the course of a year and stiched them all together. Its an interactive website and it will show you constilations and stuff. the images have not been modiefied so the color is true, it makes me feel like we live in some crazy place.

Chris, this is awesome. I want to print out a panorama of this and have it span an entire wall of my house. Do you have any more articles on this?

Honestly I can't get over how awesome space is, look at that shit, it's our galaxy. I mean, imagine how bright it would be if we were closer to the center

That is pretty impressive that some random dude did that and it seems to be super high quality. I remember awhile back I really wanted high resolution photos of the sky so I could make an app where people could draw their own constellations onto the map. Obviously, this never happened.
Well, actually I kind of did make it one time but it was using a totally fake map. Oh well.
Anyways, I think Google or Bing have pretty epic views on the sky as well. Though they aren't as high quality, the one from Bing always impresses me...

I would love to be able to draw constellations and find them in the sky. And Bing maps always impresses me too, I think they (microsoft) have a better satellite earth view than google does.
