I meant to post this a few days ago.
Monday/Wednesday
Biology: my teacher is a wild hog with a slightly feminine voice.
WAY TO LONG OF A BREAK! Result: Trip to Jamba Juice (an Many more to come), grass sitting, chatting with Barbara and Juan. Going to the second floor of the library to people watch and escape the heat. Everyone was on facebook, some were checking out some not so hot girls myspace pics. Really? in the school library?
NOTE: Will myspace pictures be referred to as facebook pictures now? I feel like Myspace pics had is just a common saying now, maybe it's just me..
Sociology: way too crowded of a room: Two really cool large black women with attitude and super great hairstyles.
English: SUCH a good teacher, I can tell already. I am glad I dropped my other class last semester and waited. My teacher is a younger guy with a lisp and a ponytail, and he is seems very interested in the arts. He gave us an assignment where we could analyze any movie, art piece, show or song. I am almost finished with my analysis of the Dexter introduction.
Math: This woman is left handed and writes extremely loud on the whiteboard. She is stressful because she acts like she is on crack most of the time, but not in the good kind of "on crack." Jessica Isaac and Juan are in my class, if it weren't for them, I would love to drop it.
Tuesday/ Thursday:
3D Design: good teacher, popped popcorn, then we molded a piece of popcorn out of clay. Now we have to take an ordinary object and abstract it..like Claes Oldenberg.
Drawing: HIGH SCHOOL ALL OVER AGIAN. These gross mission beach rats are in my class, normally I would see them in my art class because they were ditching some other class of theirs. Also we are doing the most rudimentary things, I don't want to draw trees, vases and bottles anymore! My teacher is really nice though, she was playing Sigur Ros, mum, air, etc. I was really angry that she was playing all of those artists because that is winter/ night time music, and listening to those in the summer heat when the sun is shining through the windows weakens the songs. But it will be nice if she plays them when its finally gloomy and slightly cold outside.
OH yea, buying art supplies sucks, but I could spend forever in Blick.

Awesome, what are you going to do for your 3D project?
As for Mr. Oldenburg, I am not sure if he abstracted things as much as he just made ordinary things reallly big...

BUT changing the size of something so it is completely unrealistic is one way of abstracting something. Perhaps I could have used a better example, but I think it still works.
This is one of myfavorites that I meant to show you earlier. It's not the minnie mouse one, but the very last one on the second page.
As for my project, I'm not completely sure yet. I have one idea that involves a hair clip, and the other one, involves a pencil sharpener. But, I might not even use those, I don't really know yet.
