Show Me Something Good

Dear Webtape,

I'm sorry I haven't been using you much lately. I feel as if you've become more of a forum for my friends and I to talk and share things in than a place for me to record my life. This makes me feel as if when I write blogs I am writing for them, my friends, and not for me. I don't always want to write for other people; I want to write for me.
Perhaps this problem could be solved by giving us the ability to make our posts private. I would definitely write more often if we had that option. Not because I want to hide things and keep secrets from my friends but because there's some things that I don't want to share with the entire world.

Your user,
Mark

In a previous post Jeff and Gina shared their favorite commercials with us. This is mine.

Maybe it's because I find the girl in the commercial georgeous and I love all of her facial expressions or that the song has a light and happy tone or just that I think the commercial was done really well, but it's probably all of the above.

While I'm on the topic of commercials has anyone seen the new Michelin commercials?

And as anyone recognized their resemblance to this song?

Coincidence? I think not.

I applied for SDSU for Fall 2010. I found out I have to take a communications class that wasn't required for UCSD application but I also found out that I don't have to take 3rd semester ASL because that is only required for the BA Biology program, not the BS. I might take track next semester to fill up some empty units. It will be nice to get back in shape again.

Chris, I'm sorry I failed you, I hate myself.

For everyone else:
I hate myself because I hate being alone but I can't seem to do anything about it. I'm kinda tired of being 3rd or 5th wheel all the time. Although, I would much rather be 3rd or 5th wheel than be alone. I don't necessarily need to be in a relationship, I just need a sidekick. You know, someone to help me out when I get stuck in a wall or something. But I always feel like I'd be bothering someone by calling them up and seeing if they want to hang out, and I don't want to bother people. I'm pretty sure I've accidentally sabotaged a lot of potential friendships or relationships because my not wanting to bother people comes off as me not caring. I think I care a little too much.

In an unrelated topic… today, at Cosmos, Jeff and I witnessed a married couple with a child get in an argument and talk about hiring a lawyer. Divorce?

First off, I think we all love for that Kindle commercial, it is just great.

And as I have said countless times before, if you want to hang out with someone just give me a call. One reason I quit my job was to spend time with the people I care about, so there is no need to worry about bothering me...

I think I heard Jeff swooning over that first commercial the other night.

And Mark, you haven't failed me yet.

Also, I feel bad when you are hanging our with Ashley and I because you are a 3rd wheel but we do enjoy your company and I don't think we see it that way.

re: the commercial

1. if you didn't know already, the name of the girl in the video is annie little, and not only is she super cute, but she is the girl that sings the song featured in the commercial as well. DOUBLE BONUS!

2. if you haven't seen this video already, check it out. preeeetty sure this was the inspiration for the commercial.

also, don't get down on yourself, man. there are a million billion things that you can do by yourself and still have fun and be happy. go out and enjoy the day, take amazing photos again, learn how to make the best grilled cheese in the world, finally talk to that girl at the coffee shop... life is pretty great, man, with or without company. also, i'm positive that if two people invite you to hang out with them, they want you there. you should never feel like the third wheel (especially with chris and ashley). and just ask jeff, the best things happen in groups of three. it's a tried and true fact. also, i think you've been watching too much sunny...

also, like jeff, never hesitate to pick up the phone and call us. we might be busy some of the time, but for the most part, we're always down to hang out. and, in 2 weeks, that will be everyday.

oh, also, take a note from me dude. since i quit my job, it is entirely possible for me to go throughout an entire day without saying a word to anyone. this has happened on multiple occasions within the past few weeks. i don't even see anyone i know these days save for my parents (lol)...

yet, i'm still fine. i know, i don't get it either. but you just gotta stop thinking that being alone is a bad thing.

Joe! I was totally going to post that video and tell how it was the inspiration but I side tracked with Gunther and Ill Mitch videos before I found it.

I can't wait for that 2 weeks to be up, i'll be home for a month!

@Jeff and @Joe
My reservations for calling people doesn\'t really concern you guys. Even if I know you guys are busy I will send you a message or something to see if you want to hang out. My post more concerns girls.

@Joe
I know you're ok with doing things on your own, but to me I can't think of anything more depressing than having a great time on your own. I don\'t want to look back on my life remembering things, and thinking, \"I didn\'t have anyone to share that with.\" It\'s not that being alone all the time is a bad thing; I love my solitude. But for the most part I just want someone around to do things with and talk to.

@everyone, I\'ve been waiting for someone to acknowledge my connection between michelin and gorillaz, but nothing. c\'mon guys.

Kindle commercial=cute.
However.
Kindle=most terrifying invention of the 21st century.
So I can't fully support the ad.

BUT BABY J! I loved that music video, and have never seen it before so I'm very happy you shared it. Now, I will share it with everyone I know or meet or ever speak to. Lovely!
