It's Sunday... It's the end of the weekend... It's almost a full moon...
But really, I was stuck inside all day, and somewhat inspired by Jeff's last post the first real rain this fall, I decided to write a song. I don't think it's finished yet, but I'm kind of flushed out of ideas at the moment. As always, enjoy with headphones (and be sure to turn it up because I still haven't found a way to get it much louder than a Christopher O'Riley recording). Enjoy, and don't be evil!

effff youuuuuuuuuuu.
You know a song is good when you think you are listening to it on Rdio instead of some (albeit beautiful and amazingly functional) sound cloud embed on webtape. Good job!
Clearly, it is great but I just have one critique... I think there is a bit too much reverb (which I don't think I have ever said before) in the beginning piano part. Or maybe the reverb is too loud or too tonally similar to the piano part. Without checking, I think Olafur pitches up his piano reverb, which really sends it soaring. Either way, it's aces.
Funny this happened today, as I was blessed with a treat on my desk this morning. Check my newest post...

You know, I overlaid some piano meedlies on top of the original part to get the higher notes that ring out. It might just be those meedlies overlapping with the same notes as the original part, so I'll check it out.
However, I literally have all the reverbs that Logic has on that piano track so that might be it too... Pitching up the reverb is a great idea though, I gotta try that.

This is beautiful! You did a really nice job on it so far, even if it isn't done yet.
I want to keep listening.

Thanks Annie! I'm thinking of adding an intro and overlaying some parts over that first section so it builds up a bit more. The last section with just the piano is my favorite though. So clean :)
And you know, I have some songs that I recorded last summer that I was thinking about posting on here. I would've posted them sooner, but I literally just found out how to export songs in Logic, so...
