mud monsters

TODAY

I love (most) sundays,  I finally get to sleep in because I am not forced to go to church in the morning like I used to, and I do not have to wake up around 5 am to go to work.

Instead of doing homework today, like I had originally planned, I decided to go to the mud race with my mom and little brother. I have never heard of it before, but it sounded interesting and decided I needed to have a look for myself.

I am glad I went, I don't know when I will ever see a man running in the mud with a suit on again.

After playing mud baseball, and watching people run in the mud plus a few somehow trying to avoid the mud, I visited Jessica at jamba juice. I didn't even get a free smoothie, I think she likes you more than me Jeff, or maybe because my mom and scott were there and three free smoothies are just too many.

I had a conversation with a homeless man today. He has started to collect colored plastic spoons and was upset when I gave him a black one, but I was glad to help him with his collection, even if it wasn't colored. I used to collect, so I understand.   Apparently he is going to open the system in the computer of the new yogurt shop across the street (which he opened) because he thinks I deserve a free yogurt, how nice of him.

YESTERDAY

I had a fuse and it tasted like melted pop rocks. Pop Rocks are freaking great in their natural form, but  liquid, not so much. It gave me a stomach ache, and Ritz crackers made it better. Ritz!!

Jeff and I went to La Jolla, were we discovered the ice cream shop accepts chocolate money, caves do not exist, and seals = maggots. We made our way over to balboa park where we stalked an older couple and discovered some trails which lead us to a building, which was great for snipers. We found ourselves on the vacant side of balboa park with the air theatre. I think it was empty because they were going to be performing High school musical and Annie, but that is just my guess. CPKCPK. Thai (1/2 chicken) pizza for the first time, chicken looked tempting.

(stalking)

This week I have been like the older sister because I have a later curfew than janine, who has to be home at 11;30. SUCKER. No curfew at all would be even better though. Eventuallyyyyyyy.

Friday I talked to devendra banhart friend and  hung out with DADA friends. We made an old greg cake that did not look so much like old greg, but it was delicious.

the whole mud race thing is really tempting to me. I would prefer if it was jello or pasta or slurpee or broken up ice cream sandwiches...

I decided that I am going to be doing it when they have it again in november. I don't know if I could race in slurpee, I think I would go numb like freaking oragel or something. If they gave me a slurpee at the end I would be so happy. Top ramen would be great to race in though..

Janine has an early curfew, eh? Sounds like a story is behind this that I must hear...
And mud race looks joyous! I wish I could have experienced it.
