HAPPY HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE RELEASE DAY!!!
Janine, Annie, and I will be going to the midnight showing at Grossmont center. Perhaps we'll see you there? Oh my God, I've been waiting for this day for a little over a year. It's going to be great. I'll leave you with some great quotes from HP to meditate on:
Harry Potter "He was my mum and dad's best friend. He's a convicted murderer, but he's broken out of wizard prison and he's on the run. He likes to keep in touch with me, though...keep up with news...check if I'm happy..." --to The Dursleys on Sirius Black
"Why were you lurking under our window?" "Yes -- yes, good point, Petunia! What were you doing under our windows, boy?" "Listening to the news," said Harry in a resigned voice. His aunt and uncle exchanged looks of outrage. "Listening to the news! Again?" "Well, it changes every day, you see," said Harry
Ron Weasley "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."
"I've got two Neptunes here," said Harry after a while, frowning down on his parchment, "that can't be right, can it?" "Aaaah," said Ron, imitating Professor Trelawney's mysical whisper, "when two Neptunes appear in the sky, it is a sure sign that a midget in glasses is being born, Harry..."
Dumbledore "Don't be silly, Dawlish. I'm sure you are an excellent Auror, I seem to remember you achieved Outstanding' in all your N.E.W.T.s, but if you attempt to — er — 'bring me in' by force, I will have to hurt you."
"To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."
"Fear of a name increases fear of a thing itself."
"You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be."
"I am not worried, Harry," said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. "I am with you."
“Tell me one last thing,” said Harry. “Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?” “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
So good, so good.

Ah, that's too bad. You should have gone to Grossmont.
Well...WHAT DID YOU THINK?!

I considered it because it's so much closer to my house, but Chris and Ash were buying tickets for us and Edward's is a better theater.
I have to say I was pleased. I didn't make it this far in the reading so the story was brand new and exciting to me. However, lots of parts felt rushed because they had so much content to cram into 2.5 hours. I guess that's where the reading is essential.

By the way. I remember you talking about going to Coldplay a while back. If you were still planning on going and havent bought your ticket yet, they sell them for cheaper on wednesdays. Joe and I will be there.

I think I'm going to hit up Rancho next time as I heard from another friend who attended that they had an insane amount of showings.
Glad you liked it. Seriously, the best one yet.
And I wish I remembered Coldplay was coming up so soon...I have to work tomorrow :(
They're really good live though, so be prepared for a beautiful experience. Tell me how you like them.
Oh and give your kittens a nice scratch behind the ears for me. I miss those little devils.

Yea, I think they had 8 theaters showing it in Rancho. The one we were in wasn't even completely full.
Something I really like about the movie is that it ends with the bad guys having the upper hand. That doesn't seem to happen enough in movies, and when it does it's epic (The Empire Strikes Back and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring for example). I was hoping that's how the latest transformers movie would end, with "The Fallen" taking control, but no, their rise was way too short lived.
I've never seen Coldplay before so I'm pretty excited. I really hope something like this happens.

When I saw them Chris Martin actually did pull that stunt. I guess he really likes crowd running. But we were at Cricket amphitheater and he could only run up and down the steps. He took someone's cell phone and started singing in it though; that was fun :)
