So Far So Good
Posted on January 25, 2010 by Chris Jack
I must say, Ashley and I were joking all weekend about not missing "The Pregnancy Pact" so we made one.

Anyway, I haven't posted in a while maybe because I have me and Ash have decided it would be a good idea to write in matching Owl journals for our personal benefit, so sorry webtape.

This weekend we got around to painting and I wish I had cool pictures to augment my post but I don't so I feel kinda lame. I painted a circuit so that was awesome and Ash started a new line of see-threw paintings the require to be back-lit, pretty awesome.

Tomorrow I start my second week back to school so I wish Mark and Annie good luck with their first week back, I hated leaving home again. This semester I have:

ECE 240 Lab (I hate you Cuyamaca)
ECE 340 Lec & Lab - Electronics
ECE 420 Lec - Design with Programmable Logic
ECE 450 Lec - Probability Systems
COMP 222 Lec - Computer Organization

For my 340 Lab I showed up the first day the the instructor gave us a list of labs and said, "Turn in at least 5 by the end of the semester if you want a B, I will be here if you need help." So that will be awesome, I get to build actual circuits on my own time, hopefully I will post more about that as I finish projects.

Mark this post is going to be an attempt to convince you to apply for CSUN. I badly need a good roommate and I think you would enjoy it. I applied during Summer and got in during the same Fall so I know there is still time.

Some of the things I would like to look back on for 2009:
-All of the concerts, especially Mew, especially Mew at Troubadour with Mark.
-Getting into Northridge and meeting wonderful new people.
-June Lake trip
-Making to both a Jay Leno and Conan tonight show. (miss you CoCo)
-Ashley and I doing miniature golf then Mark coming up that night to play lazer tag!
-Making it past the first round of Amazing Race application.
-Disneyland 3 times over Summer thanks to Ash, and her first time to Universal theme Park
-All the Charger games
-Ashley beating every old school Zelda game over Summer
-Left4Dead
-Our bowling nights (to the sky)
-I don't know why, but New Year's Eve at the Micklos's
-Every weekend up here with Ashley for our continued exploration of LA.

Seriously, thank you Ashley. I need to give you a shout out for making my life so amazingly wonderful!

Hopefully this year will be my first year going to Cochella, I want to end up going Saturday and Sunday because I don't really care about Friday but Mark and I talked about getting there with everyone and we can camp that night anyway.

Summer Baby

Can anyone help me find the source of this song. It is one of my favorite songs and I have shared it with a few of you before. I have no idea where it came from and I cannot find any traces of it on the internet. All it is, is a song I have had for a while entitled "Summer Baby" by The Pits.

If anything just download it and give it a listen, it is short and sweet.

Maybe Joe can help me tab it out sometime as well =)

This Fall...
Posted on October 7, 2009 by Chris Jack
...There are a couple of things I would like to do.

First of all I would li
ke to do something interesting this Halloween. Ashley and I have plenty of costume ideas, (mostly Ashley's ideas) and want to have a get together. She wanted a full on party at first but I think that might be too much for us to do. But we do want to have everyone together for once and make food and stuff. It would be nice to have organize some fun events as well. We just need to take advantage of Halloween finally being on a Saturday this year!

    This wee
kend I will be down and ready to do Fall stuff, maybe just sitting at Living Room with my coat on will be enough. Maybe we can check on the balcony, play some catch on the football field, baseball at Rancho, or make some music.

Seriously, does anyone just want to Jam, I have no one to play with and it sucks. Even if I'm not that good it just seems like it would be so fun just to have people to play your favorite songs with. It always depresses me when you guys practice for hours and hardly get anywhere. I think just having fun would really boost your desire to make music.

Lately I have been wanting to do something inspirational. I live in the Cinema and Television Arts building so I am exposed to people always ma
king movies. Some guy showed me his movie he made with his friends for this off road car race. I told him my friend Jeff put together a better one with Fast and Furious clips. Anyway, no one here is really that cool; my roommates idea of a smart movie with a good twist is "War of the Worlds." So even though I don't have a video camera I would like to take pictures and try to put it together with some music, like my Bow Willow Creek one except better. You know, for memory purposes. And besides, it always nice to leave you mark on the world with something you have created. The picture below was of the people on my floor making a jousting video while running the Olympic "torch" up the stairs and playing the Olympic theme song really loud, it was a lot of fun.

This is mostly for Ashley but does anyone watch Bones. Let me tell you, my 3 shows are The Office, Fringe, and Bones. Ashley gives me a hard time because I don't want it to be true but it is. It is true because I found myself on YouTube today watching clips. I watched the clip when Booth found out he had a tumor, the acting is so good, I have never seen anyone loo
k so genuinely sad. I also watched some others talking about what happens after the surgery!

    I thin
k I want to say so much more but I wont for now.

We are leaving wounds
Posted on September 14, 2009 by Chris Jack
Soooooo, just a few things.

First and foremost, I'll assume we are going to attend this...?

Secondly, when No More Stories came out I thought some things were really good, some things would have to grow on me, and some things were just okay. After seeing them live I really must say I have seen the light. I definitely wasn't able to see it as soon as Mark or anything but as much as I wanted to hear Louise Louisa, I really am much happier that they played Cartoons and Macreme Wounds. I had only listened to it once before and it was the point where I couldn't really hear it, if you know what I mean. I have been thinking about their new album and how amazing it was live. Last night Ashley said she finally listened to the whole album and really felt like she could let it grow on her. I can't wait for it to be tonight because I really am in the mood to chamber myself to the album, it will be nice.

(TotD) (Tip of the Day) Thirdly, my favorite childhood movie is better than others because it was Land Before Time. It's really the only thing that comes to mind because this was the first movie to make me feel emotionally connected enough to make me cry. That and frickin' Homeward Bound.
