I love finding beautiful videos on vimeo. This particular one is certainly no exception. It's a short film, beautifully shot and wonderfully acted. Also, the soundtrack sounds like something straight out of Heima. If you have 10 minutes to spare, watch it. It's a pleasure. (Also, watch it in full screen)

My semi-annual blog post comes at a time when I should actually not be working on anything like this at all.  One more day until the dreaded PACTPACTPACT is due . . . so close, but so far.  Currently have 48 pages of commentary, 20 some odd pieces of supplementary material, 20 ounce coffee, running on 5 hours of sleep. . . . next task will be to revise, revise, revise and waste 68 x 3 pieces of paper just to let the state of California and SDSU know that, yes, I can teach.

ANYWAY

Thinking ab
out my eventual tattoo more and more since the sisters are about to be separated.  Look at the photo and tell me what you think.  I was thinking about the one on the bottom right corner

Thinking maybe some color would be nice in those flowers: not BLUE, but RED.  What do you think?

A teacher I worked with asked me about job prospects yesterday and I got a bit nervous.  Summer is sneaking up on me and I don't have a clear plan for attacking the market.  Who knows where I could end up? What I could teach?  It's all a little frightening.

Lastly, it's my birthday on Monday.  I love birthdays.  So happy I have something to look forward to after this dreaded assignment is due.

Making things work.
Posted on April 22, 2010 by Annie!

This weekend wasn't crazy or anything, but I kept busy.

Friday me and Gina went to Jessica's new apartment, where we got a nice laugh at my cousin, who was the only drunk one in the ARGUMENT/conversation room, sitting in a closet making no sense. NO SENSE was before fever sleeves, BTW.  Juan was there too, that was cool!

Saturday SUCKED at first, because it was humid and gross and no one was home and no one could go with me to M-Theory, so I just said EFFF everyone and went. I had a good time, and I stayed there longer than I expected. I made a new friend, who made the really awesome fever sleeves music video:

Seriously, it's cool.

I got a free RUNAWAYS shirt, so now I have a new shirt to add to the  "Kickin it cool around the house" collection.

Listened to music.

Rob Crow from Pinback was there.

Got coffee with my bros.

Left and got a burrito.

I like M-Theory days.

And I want a nice set of big headphones so I can block out the noise, while I'm listening to good music. My ipod headphones don't quite cut it.

Sunday: was beautiful, and I had to work most of the day. Boo.

Monday: Got to see JEFF finally, he wore lipstick and we got CBW and jamba juice, then I went back to school, and he went home and took a nap.

Monday night I finally got to paint!

[RANT] ahhh it felt so nice! And I realized it's going to be hard sharing a room, if thats what it comes down to, when I move away. Who will want to share rooms with a girl who has art supplies everywhere and stays up until ridiculously late hours of the night!? I HAVE NO IDEA! And sometimes I just need my freaking solitude, and I feel like I won't get that once I move away. SO I need to start looking on craigslist for bigger apartments or maybe a small, but big enough, house. Nothing is set yet, I don't know who I am officially going to be living with, there is talk of Juan and Melissa, but they don't know each other yet, and we haven't talked about it in a while, we'll see[END RANT]

All I'm gonna say, is my painting is going to be tight, and I have a matching paper to go along with it, for my english class. I think I am going to call the combination "The Jesus and Mary Who?" and "The Jesus and Mary What?" ahh Who Knows?

+small thoughs+

Anyway, I made a small mix because I listened to a little different music than I usually do. I used to listen to either radiohead or sigur ros, but I wasn't feeling all serious at the time, so this is what my last.fm showed me.

Missing my boyfriend!!

So I know it's still way to early to even think about seeing Muse again, but it turns out they are playing here (Cox Arena) on September 22nd and pre-sale is THIS FRIDAY at 10am. I don't know how much it is, or even if I can take seeing Muse two times within the same year, but I'm just throwing it out there. Good thing about this time around will be the considerable reduction in sweaty, shirtless dude-bros...

Mew released the video for Beach at noon today.

It's very strange. I wish I could see more of the creatures. I don't understand it. I love the circles. As with Repeater Beater, I like what the did to the song.

I threw old clothes away.

Yeah, so I went to San Francisco on friday and saturday to look at my new school. I won't bore you with details of my trip, because I don't feel like writing them out again, plus it was too short of a trip to have anything too exciting happen. I think you all know how I feel, just wanting to go to school there already, not wanting to finish Grossmont. Blahblahblah.

ANYWAY

A few weekends ago, me and Juan spent the day at balboa park, we hung out, then we walked over to Bassam, that was cool. We took some pics because it was a nice day out. Later that day, me and Jeff wen out for PASTA and it was really good. He had lamb. I tasted lamb. Lamb still makes me think of lamb chops. We ran out of that place and went to the living room, because that one guy is real cool and knows our drinks.

FLASH FOWARD

Tonight I was cleaning my room, a constant task, but I decided to dissect my closet and actually throw things away this time, rather than thinking I will use it eventually for something. I found some good finds:
o my folder from elementary school with a story about me carrying a knife with me, just in case I came across some animals. I'm not creepy or evil, it was strictly for camping purposes. SURVIVAL.
o A copy of my 9th grade spanish final. The punk girl who sat behind me was a bad influence, I don't think I used it though.
o OLD OLD  BAD art project, now broken.
o Some ugly old bag that used to have a patch, but it got lost.
o A few pairs of toe socks, they were gifts. The other socks I found, or thy highs, are my doing and just ARE.

All my summer hats that I can start to wear again! Well, minus the brown one, that's just for show.

Out of everything listed, I am keeping my thy highs and my hats, because they are necessary.
AND
AND
AND
AND

I started to make a list of things that MUST be done before I leave, I'll display them soon!

Posted on April 16, 2010 by Jeff Micklos
Hey friends! This blog post is for those of you who won't be able to attend Coachella this year. If you just look here for the next three days, you will get the general vibe of what will be going down...

So there you go, that is pretty much it.

OKAY, a few shout outs now:

Mark and Chris, look what I am doing!

Joe, never forget the moment we shared in my car. I know I won't.

I have so much to do before tomorrow, I should start now!
